WILLIAM DESMOND TO-NIGHT. To-night William Desmond in “Tim Hliie Uaminimi” " ill lie Pollnrds’s star attraction at tlm Princess Theatre. William Desmond is seen in another of his inimitable characterizations in “The Blue Bandanna,” his new production. .This latest oli the genial Bill’s pictures is a romantic drama of that part of th* west in which hard riding, stage rohhcrics and murder mysteries are still more or less rampant. Desmond plays the role of a young New York money wizard, who. when he discovers that his overworked brain motor is hitting oil only one cylinder, pees west for his health. There he is plunped into a a mass of exciting ivlventnres that make Nick Carter’s lurid romances seem anaemic in comparison. There are thrills pnlore in this exciting drama which pives Desmond one of the best roles of his career. Thoi supporting pictures to-night are the latest Topical Budget and comedy. On Thursday Pollards are presenting a stirring and gripping drama of the Yukon, Alaska, featnring ,T. Warren Kerrigan entitled “The Drifters”. It is the story of three men whom rircumstnnePs force to he partners in a small cabin snowbound for the winter just under the Arctic circle. Kerrigan plays the role of a man striving to forget. Into this win-ter-bound region comes a girl. A great sorrow lias roblied the girl of het mind, hut it must have been some larger purpose that has carried hoi mindless body through the winter snows. How she remembers who she was seeking and finds him one of the three drift ers. and how the mniV seeking to for- j get is given something to remember make “The Drifters" an original story, and absorbing and unusual romance. Lois Wilson is very sympathetic in the rule of the girl. The supporting subjects include a Gnumniit. Graphic, Cinema Travels (scenic) and a. big \ itngrnpli comedy.
