The debate on the Addtess-in-Rcply was continued by IT tails darlaml, Snodgrass and Sir I*. D. Hell. Hon ( amphell then briefly icplied. when the Add!ess mis agreed to. The Council adjourned at 1.4 p.m. THE HOI’SE. The debate was continued hv Mr Holland who moved the following amendment:—Me teel it. however, to he our duty to submit to your Excellency that your Excellency’s Ministers do not possess the confidence ol this House for the reasons herein alter given, viz.—(l) Their failure to bring down a limineial policy necessary .to the proper maintenance ot the public swtvires and economic progress ol the Dominion: (2) Their failute to ileal with the problem ot unemployment on a basis of the right to woik or adequate maintenance: TG 'lhcir failure to provide ade(|iuitc housing for the people; ( h Their wasteful policy of heavy coal impoi tations instead of local production; and (•’>) Their refusal to furnish information with respect to the cost of imported coal. The amendment was seconded by Mr Bnrtinm, who was followed hv Messis Rotter, Howard. Cleon, Sullivan, Statham and \ eiieh. A division on the amendment tesaltcd in its drieat by 10 to 9. At 11.10 p.m. Mr Dixon replied, and the address was agreed to. The House rose at 11.22 p.m
