Navy is now establishing ntlf -its total air force on the PacificToast, where there are already seven lit- squadrons, comprising 1-30 officers ind 630 men. Trnde papers are informed from Berlin that negotiations are proceeding between representatives of the Australian wool syndicate, German Government and Saxon spinneries, with tho object of arranging terms for supplying German mills with twenty million dollars worth of wool, on the basis that tho mills refine and the Australian market finish the product. ! Meanwhile the House Appropriations Committee has virtually decided not to discuss next year’s army and navy appropriations until after the conference. Firstly, because of the desire to avoid the possibility of embarrassment of the administration by a Congressional debate on armament expenditure during j the parleys, and secondly, because fu- , tore expenditure will be subject to i change according to the success or failure of the Conference.
