An amendment moved by Mr ltri.ee, seconded by Mr l.lovd that the Committee protest against the want ol courtesy and consideration shown by Ihe Hoard in rionncetion with the subinission of the names of the enndidntes lor selection, wn.-i lost, after a di.-eas-si'i ill, and an explanation of I lie proeeednro followed given by the Heitor, who was present.
Front education Board. Christchurch explaining action in advertising vacancy on .staff, which was done in two Coast papers, three Christchurch and two Timarn pajiers and stating considerable expense was incurred tle-r-ly. —Received.

mittee again express their strong disapproval of the action in advertising for assistant' teacher instead t.f advertising i.n the outside cities. Seconded by Mr Lloyd and carried. From Fdiic.it ion Board stating tlic Foreman reported on: the condition of the corridor floor, and stating ilia! if renewed application were made in December that attention would lie given if the financial position was eco.'r. Heeeived.
Mr Lloyd moved that the Po.i.-d he advised that the Committee declined to take ally liability in the case ol anv accident owing t,o the unsafe conditions of tlic floors. Seconded by Mr Aitkcn and earned.

Mr \itkcn moved that the iftenrion of the Minister of Fdnrntioii he drawn to the failure of the Canterbury Eduction I'.nard to attend tin the lequirrnn'iits of the Committee, and in the opinion of the Committee, the time has arrived for the elimination of Boards and the enlargement o'! the duties of school committees. Seconded hv the Chairman and carried.
Thc Visiting Committee, (Mr Aitkcn and Rev. Pureluis) reported on the conditions requiring attention, im hiding (lie corridor floor, the tennis ,'ciitl fence and net, and some renovations at the caretaker’s residence.—Received and adopted, the various recnmiiu>mla• lions to lie passed on to the ’Hoard.
