AYFS'i I \NI) HR AXCII. The usual mouildy meeting of tin above was held on Thursday, 2'-’ml, at 7..'50 p.m. Tlieie ware present Mr (!. Davidson (chairman). .Messrs Stuart, Williams, l!as-eli, Clements, Renton, Searle, l)r Teielielmaun and Perllam. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and loiilirme!. also il.e inward and outward correspondence was dealt with. A letter I'rmu the West laud County Council asked the Association to supply road signs for dangerous comers and sharp bills on South Westland road, slating they would < reel the signs if supplied. Received It was resolved that the Association meet the Council tin (lie lines suggested and Mr Clements and Mr Searle were appointed to advise as early as possible the locution i,i bad places ieferred to and report to the .Ass, elation. Also to have the half dozen other streams on the darksuns-Otirn road bridged as early as possible, and I'urlliei to ask that the Public Works Department again call tenders for the Waitangi bridge. South Westland: also several minor matters as discussed at the meeting. It was also decided lo make representation to the Public Works Pep: nielli to have culverts put ill the walei courses between Mikonui and Fergusons. This would not lie a large mattor as the tindiei is handy tor the purpose. The Secretary was instructed to communicate with the Hokitika Borough Council drawing attention to the unsatisfactory state of the South Spit road and to request the Council to put in hand the repairing of it as early as possible as this road now carries a lot of traffic. The Secretary's action was confirmed in sending a report, to the Canterbury
Automobile Association from this lunin'li. The Cliairinaii remarked and congratulated members on the increased attendance, which indicated an increased interest in the doings of tic' Association, expressing the de-ire that the interest as shown would he maintained. Mr W. Wilson was proposed as a. new member and duly elector]. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair at 9.30 p.m.
