Hell moved resolutions in respect to deaths of Hon Aitken, Kelly, Simpson. Tehuehue, Tekino, members and ex-inemhers of the Council. The Council rose at 3.25 p.m. THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. The following Bills were introduced by Governor’s Message and read a first time:—Samoa Bill, Forests Bill, Animals’ Protection Bill, Vehicles Registration Bill. Mortgages and Deposits Extension Bill. Mr Dixon (Raton) gave notice of intention to move a. respectful address in reply to Die Governor Gonernl’s s« pooch. Tlon D. Stewart was given leave to introduce tlm following Bills, which were read a first time.: —Local Bodies Loans Amendment. Banking Act Amendment. A nzae Day Amendment BiH. Mr Parry gave notice of intention to introduce the Stone Quarries Amendinput Hill. The following Bills were introduced and read a first time: - Native Land Act Amendment Bill (Mr Reed,) • Local Elections and Polls Act Amendment Bill. (Mr Reed). Electricians Registration Bill < All* Sullivan). Unemployed \\ orkers Bill (Mr h laser). Napier Harbour RoArd Enabling Bill (Mr Brown). Workers Compensation AmenJin.mt Bill (Mr Howard). Hotel and Restaurant, and Plicate Hotels and Boardinghouse Employees, Six-days a Week. Bill (Mr Fraser). Registration of Rusiness Names BiH (Mr Brown). Maintenance Orders (facilities f >r enforcement) Bill, (lion Ime). Dominion State Bank. Bill (Mr Yeiteh) • Proportional Representation and effective Voting Blil. (Mr Yeiteh). Painters and Decorators Health Protection Bill (Mr Yeiteh). The customary resolution of condolence with the relatives of the following former members of both Mouses were then moved and carried: .1.
