Mr Arthur I’etherbridge. signalman in tlie Government railway yards at Westport, is an inmate of the Westport Hospital, having severely injured his leg, the result of a fall on the steps leading up to the signal box. says the Westport Times." Mr l’etheibridge had only recently returned from a holiday taken after an illness which had necessitated his going into the hospital. On a former occasion Mr I’eiher--1,,-idge had his leg badly broken and the unfortunate official whose lock seems right out has the best wishes iff the community tor a speedy recoveiy.

The Westport •'Times" says—Mr Hav Malliday, who for some time past has ably filled the position of teller in the local Bank of New Zealand stall', was fare welled on Thursday evening by the members of the Bival football Cluh, in Mr C.
