WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS. A. SI ME WINS CHAMPIONSHIP. GHEYMOUTH, Sept. 9. The West Coast Golf Championships were Drought to a successful close yesterday, when tlie filial games were played- at Omoto Links. Yesterday morning Si me (.(<’) and Chesney t.H), played the first IS holes of the .'ll) hole'c ourse for the A\ est Coast Championship. On coming to tlie 18th hole Simp was five up. On making a start for the final 18 holes in the afternoon, Sime won the first hole, this making him six up, hut Chesney stuck to him like a bulldog, and on coining to the lfitli hole Sime was only two up with two holes to go. Chesney won the* Lth hole, this making him one down and one hole to go. The game thus made a very exciting finish, both players doing the final hole in live, thus halving it and leaving Sime West Coast champion by one
up. The final for the Ladies’ Championship between Miss Snodgrass and Miss Moore, started about 1.15 and resulted in a will for Miss Snodgrass, seven up aiul live to go. Kiglueeu-hok' Men’s Me tin l Hanoicap, Mr E. Parkinson (G) with a nett scort; of 71. The other best cards were :—Oxford (G) 78; McKechnie ,G) 78; Croudis c.W) 8.1: Cairney t.C!) 83; I Site! (W) 85; Galbraith , H) 91. The winner of Ladies’ 13-hole Medal Handicap was Mrs Fair (\\) with nett score of (19. The other best cards were Mrs Hannan iG) (52; Mrs Stee i.W) (17 ; Miss Sliecdv Mil 97; Mrs Smith (CL US; Mrs Willies (G) 98; Mrs Oxford ;G) 98: Miss Enright c.W) 98: Mrs Boyd (H) 99; Mrs Thomas iG) 99. The winners of mixed loursome were : Miss Gombitsky and Air 1* rickleton (TV) with a nett score of 77. The other liest scores were: Mr and Mis McCaskill ill) 78; Miss Berry and Mr Mack lev iG) 82; Miss Enright and -Mr Croudis (W) 82; Mr and Mrs Fair (W) S 3; Miss Conway and Mr ljovell (W) 82; Mrs Thomas' and Mr McKechnie iG', S-l ; Mr and Airs Oxford (G) 8t; Mrs Hannan and Mr Thorpy (G) 90.
