In conformity with the wishes of the Minister of Health a conference was held yesterday between representatives of various local bodies. Health Department, Hospital Board and British Medical Association, to discuss what precautions should he taken in the event of a recurrence of the influenza epidemic. The Health Deaprtment representative stated in regard to Wellington Health district and Wellington city, the figures for the twelve week period ended August 2!Hh s'eomed fo indicate a subsidence-of the influenza wave. The British Medical Association representative reported according to advice based oil experience <>f the- Association’s members in Wellington there was no need to take- active measures at the- present time-.
