LONDON, August 31. |he "Waily Express” Berlin correspondent states: A great (TV ■ d of •100.000 workers, including the Majority Socialist and official’s, demonstrated ill the Lustgarten. It was the biggest demonstration ever held in Germany. There was wonderful order throughout the demonstration. There we re no police to he seen, and the s-eldrerH wer confined to their barracks. Police were, however, hidden in houses near the route, ami they were fully armed, including machine guns. They were ready to intervene in ease of any disorder being occasioned. The procession of men and women marched idling the Untordcrdimlen and carried Hcpubiiian red. black and gold Hags, and also placards protestinagainst the Royalists. The whole afiair was a most imposing manifestation of Ihe Republican strength. The “Daily Mail” Berlin correspondent reports two further arrests at Heidelierg for the murder of Erzbcrger.
