DISARMAMENT.
lUSTHAMAN AND N.Z. CAULK ASSOCIATION. TOKIO, August 26. Press comment on Japan’s acceptance of the Armament Conference varies. The “Kokumin Shirnbun” say; the note is marked by insincerity through undeserved compliance paid to America. The paper adds how can America be justified in interfering in Far Eastern question, ft is just as absurd for America to interfere in the Orient as would Ik* for Japan to draw the Mexican problem or obtain South American questions before the conference. The Hochi Shirnbun says the presence at the Conference of Senator Hodge who never failed to seize the opportunity to ha crass Japan, is tho only cloud on the horizon. The “Fiji Shirnpo” says tho acceptance is so satisfactory that it may justly stand as an expression of hopes of the Japanese nation.
