The delegates broke into laughter, which became more boisterous when someone exclaimed : “Take the plunge. The president, joining in the laughtoi, said: “I have been accustomed to kiss the voting ladies up to a certain age, but my wife is in the gallery. (A voice: “Never mind!” and loud laughter). The president, smiling at the young woman, remarked: “I should like to kiss vuu,” and immediately gave the blushing gild a hearty kiss amid loud el eers and much laughter.
