Referring to the educational prospects of the Minister said he believed that in this connection alone there was a great future before it. He was particularly interested in the subject because in Dunedin it had been his aim to foster educational institutions. It was possible, whether it had great industrial possihilties nr not, to make Nelson a Mecca, for students front New Zealand as well as Australia. Nelson did well to take pride in its institutions.
