KO K A TAI-II STOCK SA LE. Messrs M. Houston and Co. report having held a very successful sale of dairy and other stock at the Kokatahi sale yards yesterday. There was a large attendance of buyers and competition was very keen for all early spring culvers, a nice line of lieiler springers making from £lll to £ls apiece. The following were the sales: On account of Mr R. Preston, 4 heifer springers at £l3 12s Gd, 2 at £ls, 2 at £ls, 2 at £l3, 3 at £l4 12s Gd, 3 2-ycar heifers at £G 2s Gd, 4 at £3 8s (>d. On account Mr H. Fleming, 1 cow at £G. On account Mr A. Miohcl, 6 3year bullocks at £B. On account Mr J. Bryce (Hornby) 2 heifer springers at £8 17s (id, 4 at £8 ss, 2 at £7 10s, 2 at £G 10s, 2 heifers "at £3 15s. On account of client 1 springer heifer at £9, 4 forward cows at £5 ss. On account Mr H. Monk 7 yearling steers and 1 heifer at £2 7s. On account Mr .1. Monk 2 heifer springers at £9 2s Gd, 2 at £9 ss. On account A. and T. J. Meharry 2 heifers at £6, 3 at £5 ss.
