PRESSURE ON GERMANY. AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. PARIS. Aifg 15, The concluding session of the Supremi Council discussed the disarninment o Germany. Marshal Eoch submitted a resolution which has been unanimously adopter bv the Inter-Allied Military Commission proposing a continuation of the Alliei Commission’s control. After a lengthy discussion, the resolution was adopted for maintaining the commission, but also one contemplating gradually the progressive withdrawal oi the council control. It was resolved that 11 to Allies ait in favour of raising the economic sanctions, conditional on Germany mooting all her obligations by August Ml. The military sanctions will be man tained. laird Gurzon declared that Rritain did not contemplate the sanctions remaining in force for three months after acceptance of the ultimatum. He suggested that Germany had given prooi of goodwill, and the term should be fixed for the occupation, with a progressive withdrawal of troops. " M Rriand justified the continued occupation on the ground that Germany has not yet displayed any tendency to fulfil the reparations without an Allied demonstration 1n force. France was anxious to abandon the occupation as soon as possible.
