District Racing Committee
Tlu> monthly meeting of the District Committee was held at Greymootl, last evening. Present: - Messrs Coates (Chair), Kettle, Walton. Gilbert, 1 * rotti and Evans. Correspondence was read in respect to an enquiry arising out- of a depu e between two owners at a northern meeting. 'Hie correspondence was received" and notion deferred for the present. 'lt was considered with the contradictory statements that the poosition was not satisfactory and the matter was held over for further consideration. . Application was made for the registration of the Motueka Jockey Club. 1t was resolved to recommend same to the Racing Conference. Applications on behalf of Y. Dee and B. Gray for licenses were held over for further enquiry. A trainers license was granted to .Tames Stewart, and a Jockey’s license to M-. Kirwan. An application from a South Westland owner for a trainer’s license was deferred awaiting particulars on the proper form. On the request of the Reef+on Jockey Club several names of defaulters in respect to unpaid fees were forwarded for insertion in the unpaid' forfeit list. A grant of £lO was made to the Club for ambulance outfit.
