WEDDING BELLS.

McLEAN—GILMOUR. The marriage took place on Monday last at noon at St Luke’s Church, Rein uera, by the Rev C. J. Tocker, of Miss Jean D. M. Gilmour, only daughter of the late Mr William Gilmour and Mrs Gilmour of “Ailsa,” Motherwell, Scotland, to Mr Joseph McLean, son. of the late Mr and Mrs Duncan McLean, of Givymout-h. The church had been tastefully decorated for the occasion by friends of the bridegroom’s family. The bride, who entered t/lie church on the arm of her cousin, Dr Gilmour, wore a- smart travelling costume of grey gabardine ’with white fox furs and small feathered toque to match, and carried a bouquet of white and pink (lowers. She was supported by Miss Jessie McLeod as bridesmaid, who wore a navy blue costume and hat- to match. The bride was a!tended by litt-le Lewis Gilmour, who was attired in full Highland costume. Mr Eric Gilmour, brother of the bride, acted as host man. On leaving the church the bridal party was given a Highland guard of honour by two pipers in full dress as a tribute to Mr McLean who is a chieftain of the Greymoutff Caledonian Society. St Andrew’s Society was represented by the secretary. Mr John Barr. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Grand Hotel by Mrs Gilmour. Later the happy couple motored to “Moitdosire,” Takapuna, where the honeymoon was spent. They will visit the different towns en route, arriving in Greymouth on Tuesdav next.
