Witness also testified to finding a, partridge box 'n Elliott's where, which was orderly with tile lied marie. FTe found empty cartridge boxes in prisoner’s whare. William Tonka, Government analyst, said be found blood on the riding pants, but could not. tell by chemical tests whether it was human blood.
Frederick A rmitage, Golvernment bacteriologies 1 tests, there vas some tinman and some pig blood on the pants, but the stains were separate. Since last trial he had made about I AtflO tests and also found human blood on the rock and titree. At Counsel’s request witness rend published letters from two authorities pointing out the unreliability of certain tests and suggesting unjust verdicts might lie given through placing too much reliance on laboratory work.
