WAR IN SILESIA
AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION, ANGI,O-FRENCII COMPROMISE. WELCOMED IN FRANCE LONDON, Aug. 1. The “Daily Chronicle’s” Paris correspondent says tho Anglo-French compromise on the Silesian deadlock is welcomed. France admits tho cordiality of the British Note. It is expected that the Allied Ambassadors will submit a joint demand to the Berlin Government to facilitate the passage of Allied troops through Germany, when the situation renders it necessary. Belgium will also be invited to send delegates to. the Council, which meets at Paris on August 18th.•
