WAR IN SILESIA
AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION. SILESIAN DISPUTE. LONDON; July 21 The “Times” in a leading article takes a grave view of the Silesian posi- <- tion. It says the time has come for i full and frank discussion on the points at issue, based on an absolute determination to make the Entente more effective than ever. The divergence of views between France and Britain had been allowed to develop to such a degree as to threaten grave consequences. “Tendencies of independent action,” it says, which give joy to our enemies, must be overcome by a broader and more energetic policy of union. France an 1 Britain cannot afford to quarrel over minor matters.”
