Tho match was close and tense from beginning till the last ball. OTTAWA, July 23.

The Anderson-Laframbers match offered spectacular features only in the first set, Anderson breaking through Laframbers ironclad defence during the second set with a fine display of cut strokes. Laframbers after that was at Anderson’s mercy, tho latter baffling the Canadian with every variety of stroke.
