AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. SUSPENSION OF WORK. LONDON, July 21 The Premiers’ Conference has been temporarily suspended, pending . the receipt of communications from Washington in reference to the proposed preliminary conference, the inclusion of Dominion premiers as delegates, and other questions arising out of this matter of representation. Committee is practically completed. The premiers, high commissioners, agents-general ,and women folk attended a garden party given hv the King and Queen at Buckingham Palace. The New Zealanders present besides
the official party, included fir Joint Findlay, Dean Carrington, Sir Robert and Lady Smut, the Bishop,:!' Dunedin. .Sir Thomas Mnekonzei, Mcsdaincs Arthur Myers and Izard. The sitting of the imperial Conference was interfered villi by Hie Irish deliberations, but tin* work was by no means completed. Reports ol special committees with recommendations lin o been prepared and have yet to lie dealt with. -Mr - Ueiglien has postponed hh departure for a week and probably a fortnight.
