APPEAL DISMISSED. DUNEDIN, July 21. The Arbitration Court has delivered its judgment in the Mokoia case arising out of the refusal of the firemen to -take the vessel to sea while Sir
George Clifford, of Christchurch, was aboard. •'The Magistrate at Auckland convicted the firemen of being parties to a strike, and inflicting, aj penalty of £5 against which the defendants are appealing. The Court dismissed the appeal.
royal agricultural show WELLINGTON, July 21.
The Council of Agriculture to-day re,solved that the Royal Agricural Show of New Zealand be lmld alternately in the North and South Islands. The first show is to be bold in November 1922, provided finance can be arranged.

Mr Wilson, who asked to be allowed to accompany Lieutenant Briggs on his proposed flight from Australia ty New Zealand, lias received the following reply: “So sorry, going solo; fuel takes other accommodation.” Mr W. D. Lvsnar. ALT*., has telegraphed to the Minister fjojt Defence salving:
“Wilson is again cabling Briggs, giving Ttis flying weight as nine stone six. and is urging Briggs to allow him to accompany him. if only as companion Could you see your may to supplement Wibton’ l s further: request? T t might help the position.”
LIMITED COMPANY OF TWO. AUCKLAND, July 21.
At the Supremo Court, Mr Justice Adams made an order for winding up Mata in Limited, which is n. company of two persons, both being directors, viz.. GarrettP. BarTy, and David Robinson. the application being made by the former and opposed by the latter. Tltoi (Company lhad acquired land at Kaipara for £13,350. of which £11.125 remained on mortgage. The Balance sheets showed the company lost £B2O in eleven months.
AGED ENGINEER DEAD. WAIHI, July 21
Alexander Aitkwjn, formerly Engineer to the Thomas County and last of the surviving members of the search party which set out and found the bones of the well-known Australian explorers, Burke and Wills, in the heart of the interior in the ea.rly fifties, died yesterday at the age of ninety years.
