Sinn Seiners shot Uric Steelman, an ex-soldier at Tullnmore. The body was labelled “Convicted *p\ ; sooner or later we get them ; beware Ira.” Two men shot Sergt King dead at Castlerea while lie was walking to the barracks. A private who later was walking unarmed, was also shot dead at Doneraile. Armed masked men dragged John Povnton from lied and shot him dead at Port Arlington. The tension continues in Belfast. Rioting was renewed at eleven this morning, an hour before the truce I operated. A number of attacks were made upon the police. Sinn Feiners also fired upon the Orange procession which returned the fire. Snipers wore active and six persons were sent to the hospital. ! Sinn Feiners' attacked the police bread van a’nd severely beat the driver and burned the van. The week-end deaths now total 18. and wounded total 100. | The Curfew was reimposed in Belfast to-night. * 1 A PITCHED BATTLE. (Received This Day at 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 1:2 The night passed fairly quietly in Belfast. There were-a couple of bursts of shooting, but nobody was hurt. Two spirit grocery stores were looted and burned. The 12th July celebrations in Belfast were the largest tor many years, forty thousand Orangemen marched in procession, (food order prevailed. Sir James Craig addressed a meeting which passed a resolution of loyalty.
