TilE REC<)MMENI)ATIONS. (By Telegraph.--Special to Cuardian.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Hospitals Commission has reported recommending the Government subsidy on local body contributions to bo a maximum of 26s and minimum of 14s. The subsidy on voluntary contributions and any special donations to lie £ for £. Government to also contribute half the cost of capital expemli ture. Government to observe certain powers of approval and veto, but not diiect representation on hospital hoards. Several hospital districts to be merged, including. liiaiigahua in the Grey district.
Hon Barr, Minister of Hospitals, has intimated to MU Seddon that his visit to the West Coast will be paid about the middle of August.
