Uy TELEGRAPH—PRESN ASSN., COPYRIGHT. SOUTH ISLAND PROTEST. CHRISTCHURCH, July 5. Reference was made at the meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union to the method of selecting the New Zealand representative team and it was decided to protest against the appointment of only one selector for the South Island, compared with two for the North Island. Other southern unions are to be asked to endorse the protest.
