BRITISH & FOREIGN ITEMS

CABLE NEWS.

IWRIUIN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION

APPROVAL OF ALLIANCE.

(Received This Day at 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 5

- The “Morning Post’’ supports the Japanese Alliance; saying denunciation does not mean isolation of Japan. On the contrary, it means Japan will seek friends elsewhere. Where would she find a readier welcome than in Soviet Russia, which thrives on the hostility of the British Empire. A coolness between Britain and Japan would serve Moscow better than a coolness between Britain and France.
