WELLINGTON, June 30. The following promotions and transfers in I he police force arc announced: PROMOTIONS. I nspertoe O. W. Hendrey, Christchurch, to be Superintendent at Christchurch, vice Superintendent Dwyer, resigned. Inspector A. Cruickslianks, late of Greymouth, on leave, prior to retirement, to lx 1 honorary superintendent. Sub-Inspector E. Eales, Auckland, to bo inspector at Auckland, vice Inspector Johnson, retired.
Senior-Sergeant A. Afiiggeridgc, police storekeeper, promoted to be subinspector. Scnior-iSiergeant J. M’Nantara, instructor at training depot, promoted to be sub-inspector.
Senior-Sergeant J. K. Simpson. Oamuru, promoted to .sub-inspector at Christchurch.
Constable E. .T. Carroll, AVhataupoko, Gisborne, promoted to sergeant in charge of Tokomara Bay.
TRANSFERS. Senior-Sergeant D. J. Cummings, from Christchurch to Masterton.
Senior-Sergeant M. M’Keefry, Rotorua to Oamaru.
