Nine farthings in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Central Riding of the County of Westland. Nine farthings in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Southern Riding of the County of Westland. Such General Rate to be tor the period commenced on the Ist day of April )921. and ending on the 31st day of March. 1922, and to become due and parable in one sum on the 19th day ot .July, 1921, at the office of the Westland County Council, Hokitika.” 3. The Chairman to move: —“That the Council make and levy pursuant to the provisions of Sections 48-55 of tho Bating Act, 1998, and its amendments, and the provisions of the Local Bodies Loan Act, 1913, and its amendments, special rates as follows: A special rate of one penny and fifteen sixteenths of a penny >» the £ annually recurring) for the special In-ter-Wanganui rating district affecting the loan of £750 for Petersen’s Road Fxtension. A special rate of one penny and three sixteenths of a penny in the £ 'annually recurring) for the special In-ter-Wanganui rating district affecting the lnan*of £450 for Petersen’s Road Further Extension. A special rate of seven-sixteenths of a penny in the £ (annually recurring) for the special Inter-Wanganui rating district affecting the loan of L 405 for La Fontaine Creek Clearing.

The Chairman to move: —“That a special loan of one thousand five bundled pounds stg (C 1500) he raised by the County Council of Westland for the construction of a bridge and approaches thereto over the Kakapotahi ti\ei <>l iU junction witli the Waitaha l'iiet .*> connect the main south road with the Bold Head road ; and that the consent ~f the ratepayers of the special, district of the County of Westland lying between the Mikonui and Waitangi livers, named the Kakapotahi Bridge Bating District, he obtained thereto, and that all other necessary steps, including the preparation of « valuation roll, betaken for raising the said loan ; and that this resolution he confirmed at. a subsequent meeting to he held at Hokitika on the 9th day of August, 1921.”
