CITED UNDER ARBITRATION ACT!. WELLINGTON, This Day. Telegraphed advice was received from Auckland yesterday, -that the Taupiii and Pukemiro Miners’ Union had been cited by tbe companies concerned under the Industrial and Conciliation and Arbitration Act. The efFect of this step is regarded in well’ informed circles as likely to bo far-reaeliing, and more than ordinary interest, attaches to it, on account of it being the first move made in connection with the mining dispute since April last. When approached on the matter Mr T. O. Bishop acting secretary' of the Mine Owners’ Association said lie preferred uot to make any statement at this stage upon the citation of Pukemiro and Taupiii unions. The Secretary of the Miners’ Federation, also declined to make any comment on tlio move.
