POLLARD'S PICTURES.

EVELYN GREELEY AND CARLYLE R LA C KWE IjL T( )-NIGHT. To-night Pollards are presenting Evelyn Greeley and Carlyle Blackwell in tlie romantic drama, ‘‘Love in a Hurry,” adapted from a popular- Saturday Evening Post story. The story is laid against a background of spies and their plotting. The scenes are set in convincing English countryside atmosphere, with fields, forest and streams that are a delight- to the eye. The spy element has been so convincingly treated that it'never lacks conviction, and is <h ■void of those melodramatic tricks of crudity that are so often employed in similar stories. The co-stars are Carlyle Blackwell and Evelyn Greeley, both of whom give a very good account of themselves in the picture. On Thursday something quite out ol the ordinary will be presented, a triple star programme, featuring Margarita Fisher in ‘‘Trixie from Broadway,” a comedy drama, Elaine Hamerstein in "The Country Cousin,” and last but not least the latest and best of serials entitled "The Silent Avenger,” stalling William Duncan and Edith .Johnston. A delight to the eye is vivacious Margarita Fisher in the part of TrixieDarling, a chorus girl, in "Trixie from Vroadway.” She marries a rich Westerner. but finds country life rather slow after the bright lights of Broadway. ‘‘Trixie from Broadway” is a fast-moving comedy, with an original feature in the ding-dong fight between two women, with list, tooth, nail,‘and toe, ending in a sensational fire where Trixie rescues her late opponent and redeems her character with everyone.
