Sinn Fein is at bay, with an appalling increase of desperate crimes. It. is feared the extremists have captured the moderates favouring pence two months ago. The new policy <4 desperation is attributable to tin* 1 lstor election and formation of the Government, which has brought about the hated partition ami .destroyed the hopes of a Republic and apoused a passionate antipathy.

Moderate Sinn Feiners will do its best to arrange the meeting, and it will have tho unanimous support of trading and professional classes. Do Valera’s answer is expected early to-morrow.
