HOKITIKA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
FRIDAY, JUNE 24th. The Council met at 7.30 p.m. Present Messrs G. A. Perry (Mayor), Lloyd, McGregor, King, Perham, Parkhill and Coulson. Apologies were made for Messrs Ward, Pilkington and Blank. The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approvedINWARD CORRESPONDENCE.
From Overseas Club, asking acceptance of photograph of Corp. Frickleton, V.C., a large German shell for exhibition, as a war trophy, and a number of views of N.Z. Division in France.— Received and accepted with thanks. From D. J. Evans, asking acceptance of photograph of Anzac Landing and of General Russell’s Headquarters Stall of the N.Z. Division.—Received and accepted with thanks. , From Department of Public Health, forwarding copy of regulation affecting public health.—Received. From R. M. Aitken and Son, Auckland, in reference to wood piping and a orcein" to a reduction for damaged pfpes.—Received and accepted as satisfactory. „ , From Westland Hospital Board, notifying that the annual levy could be paid in twelve instead of nine payments.— Received. . . From M. H. Houston, complaining of state of footpath near bis residence, and asking for attention.—Received, referred to Rubik- Works Committee. From the Westland Sub-Union, ;aski„" for a holiday to be proclaimed on Saturday, between 3 to 5 p.m. Received, request granted^ From Secretary to Treasury, Wellington, granting permission to pa> ,o for overdraft.—Received. REPORTS. From Treasurer, reporting receipts £360 9s lid, payments £126 0s 3d, Mnw. an T. Accounts amounting to £162 3s 10d were passed for payment.. The Council rose at 7.55 p.m.
