A large party of armed men, who were disguised, set it ablaze. The disguised men without warning to the inhabitants, set fire to the houses. Only three out of 50, buildings were saved. The people rushed from the burning houses in terror. They fled amidst constant fu si lades of revolver shots. They finally escaped through the fields. SOVEREIGN’S CHESS TO ULSTER. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.. . LONDON, June 22 The King and Queen have crossed the Irish- Channel to Ireland. They were escorted by a flotilla of battle- 1 ships and destroyers. These were the must elaborate precautions taken to guard against the possibility of anj Sinn Fein outrages. Troops and police still continue to be drafted into Belfast city. The route of the procession in Belfast has been cut off from the rest of the city. Their Majesties will proceed along it surrounded by a dense bodyguard of picked Lifeguard troops, Ulster Rifles and police. A Infuse to house search has been conducted, as well as a search of all the roofs overlooking tile route. HUGHES AND ULSTER. LONDON, June 21. Mr Hughes has sent a message, on behalf of Australia, congratulating Ulster on the opening of an Irish Parliament there.
