The wicket was not affected by a very light rai l in the morning. Gregory and Mailey resumed the attack. - When Ducat was 28 and Fender 11, the latter was caught by Andrews at deep mid-off, ir, Mailey’s second over 6,for 120. Hamsun joined Ducat and as Fender had beer, vigorous Mailey had a man well out ti ree deep Runs came nicely and forty dx was made in ten overs, Harrison doing good straight driving off Mailey. Although Taylor and Andrews fielded b’ illiantly, there were -instances of slo l enliness. When Harrison was seventeen Ducat was caught by Oldfield off Gregory.
