The Union Company’s Atua after being docked for examination and repairs, will anchor in the stream where she will remain indefinitely. The Company already has eleven passenger and four cargo boats out of commission, the Atua making the twelfth of tlie passenger class. The laying up of so many steamers is brought about by the depression of New Zealand coastal and inter-Colonia.l trades. CHEMISTS ON SUNDAY CLOSING. AUCKLAND, June 18. A count of votes taken by Auckland chemists on the question of dosing on Sundays showed a majority in favour of the change. The result will be brought before the New Zealand Pharmaceutical Board at next meeting.
