POLLARD’S PICTURES.

NORMA TALMADGE AND LARRY SEMON, MONDAY.

On Monday Pollards are screening a big double bill. Norma. Talmadge is featured in the leading role of “The Woman Gives,” Owen Johnston’s famous novel, and the other star is the world’s favourite comedian, Larry Semon in bis latest comedy success “Schooldays.” Everyone has heard and read of the famous artists’ colony of New York, with its Bohemian liTe, gay nights, free a nd easy ways. Owen Johnson made a special study of it, and the exact representation he gives in his novel, is reproduced in “The Woman Gives,” in which Norma Talmadge gives a brilliant interpretation of the character of Inga, the model. Her performance is one that is not often paralleled, and is a new revelation of her radiant personality. In addition to this First National attraction there is another of those killingly funny comedies of Larry Semon s, entitled “Schooldays,” in which the now famous comedian with fiendish joy plays all the pranks the worst behaved schoolboy ever thought of, and lots that be never dreamed of.

• Pollard’s usual picture prices will be charged for this big double attraction.
