GRAND DOUBLE BILL-MONDAY,

On Monday next Pollard’s are presenting another double star programme featuring two of the most popular artists of the screen, Norma Talmadge in “The Woman Gives” a First National Attraction of Owen Johnston’s famous novel and Larry Semon, the king of Comedians, in his latest c omedp “Schooldays.” Norma Talmadge in “The Woman Gives” has a vehicle that any star might ho proud of, one that gives her opportunity of displaying her striking and magnetic personality, and her undoutbed ability in emotional roles of a high order. Not only does the star give a wonderful performance as the .artist’s model, but the supporting cast is of all round excellence, and the production on a scale that leaves nothing to be desired. The First National spared no expense in making this presentation of Owen Johnson’s story a memorable ono. In addition is screened one of the inimitable Lnrrv Semen’s comedies, this time it is “Schooldays”—and no worst boy in school ever dreamed of the succession of pranks and absurdities that this wonderful little comedian has introduced into this subject. He is irresistible in his fun. >
