GOLF REPRISALS. BERLIN, April 12. Until recently British golfers were permitted to play on the links of the Berlin Club on payment of six times the fee charged to German visitors. Under pressure of the German Golf Association, the privilege was withdrawn, hub reluctantly as British fees were of great assistance. Exception is made in favour of members of the Embassy, as it was feared that the British would retaliate by withdrawing permission for members of the German Embassy to play on an English course. Although at one time the majority of the members of the committee of the dub were British and \ moncan, it was from before the war under German golf rules and a member of the German Association, which, as is the case with other games, permits no freedom of action. Thus while certain tennis clubs here might permit the British to play, they are debarred from doing so by the Tennis Association.
