Yesterday’s disturbances are mysterious. At first they were attributed to earth tremors, but in view of the fact that the instruments disclose no vestiges of earth movement, scientists are inclined to attribute them to unexplained air tremors. Another suggestion is that they were caused by very heavy blasting at Liverpool camp, where the old German internment camp including a big bill, were being blown up. The explosions were so heavy that windows and crockery were broken in Liverpool township. TARIFF DEBATE. MELBOURNE, June 16. In the House of Representatives the tariff debate is dragging along.
