Conference, yesterday afternoon and the whole of the evening session was occupied with a discussion in committee on a resolution on a Wellington district affirmation that in tho interest of the Association, a change in the general secretaryship was urgently and vitally necessary. The motion was lost. A NAUTICAL FINDING. AUCKLAND, June 9. The Nautical Court found that the master and chief officer of the steamer Tasman, wrecked near Whakatane on May 12th, failed to o xorciso proper care f|| navigating the vessel. It is proposed to reduce the premises and furniture bv £50,000. dividing the balance £777.255 14s 6d; less jntenm dividends amounting to £196,875 as follows: Dividend on preference A. shares of 2 shillings—£6,24o; B. shares, 2 shillings £40,625; 2s 8d ordinaries, £IOB,750, To place to reserve, £150,000; forward £361,275.
