POLLARD’S PICTURES.

SPECIAL DOUBLE STAR PRO- - MONDAY.

On Monday next Pollards are presenting another of their popular double star programmes, headed by an English drnmutiu masterpiece “Twelve Ten,” starring Marie Dorn; also a big Sel/.nick feature starring Owen .Moore entitled “Sooner or Later.” The fascinating personality of a dainty little star, Marie Doro, the splendid workmanship of a great director, Herbert Brenon, the scenes taken in Paris and London, constitute the chief merits of “Twelve Ten.” Marie T)oro impersonates a little French waif with a wistful charm that is very appealing, and her terror in the deserted castle at midnight is a thrilling example of superb acting that will long be remembered. Her support is admirable, every member of the east is a well selected type. Magnificently presented the story bolds the closo attention of any audience. “Sooner or Later,” starring Owen M oore, the new Sol/mick production, is a brilliant picture, which containssixty minutes of laughter; the only serious thing in it being the tempestuous love of a confirmed woman hater for a charming girl. He flirts in the morning with her over a telephone call and in the evening bo is engaged. You may call him a fast worker; but circumstances plays a part in overcoming bis hatred of the feminine sex. His friend Bob Hllis is a newly-wed whose wife has left him, and Pat is commissioned to locate her and bring her home. Tho girl of the flirtation seems to fit Bob’s description of his spouse. The result of his adventure is ludicrous in the extreme.
