KOKATAHI STOCK SALE
At the alki vc yards yesterday 103 head of cattle, 6 horses and 35 sheep were submitted to competition. The attendance was good and there w as bidding for all lines offered at prices on a par with those ruling in larger centres. Sellers in a great many cases were, however, asking too much and in consequence a number of lines were passed. The following sales are recorded. For \Y. Robinson 34 fat ewes at 21/-; For I*. Heslan 2 heifers at £8; For D. Clarke 3 dry cows at £5, 3 heifers at £2/15/-; For Jas. Woolhouse, 1 heifer at £5/17/6, six calves at 23/-, one cow at £2/6/-; For R. Houliston 2 fat steers at £l7/5/-, one fat cow £B/12/6. For Frank Wall 9 2yr. steers at £4 and 3 ditto heifers at £4. For W. Cron, 14 hereford heifers at £6/10/-. There was practically no competition for the horses, most of which were of the light kind.
