BTCTUVTN, March If) Chen Yau, a Chinaman, wealthy owner of several laundries in Hamburg, lias heen found robbed and-murdered in an opium don in the Chinese quarter of the port. TJhree fingers of his right hand had been hacked off and were found a few yards away. His widow says that he was robbed of rings valued at 12,(100 marks (nominally £OOOI.
ALRTNE THTEYES. PARTS, March 19. At a.height of 10,000 feet, among the snow in the Savoy Alps, is a small building used for the storing of explosives. Two nights ago it was broken into and 101 b of a powerful explosive known as “Cbeddite” stolon, together with 80 detonators.
