WEDDING BELLS.

LAURENSON—RICHMOND. A quiet wedding was solemnised at ( Holy Trinity Church, Greyinouth, yesterday, by the Venerable Archdeacon Carr, the contracting parties being Dorothy, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. 11. Richmond, of Greymouth and George Laurenson, a returned soldier and civil engineer in the Government service, son of the late Mr George Laurenson, M.P., for Lyttelton and of Mrs Laurenson of Christchurch. The church was tastefully decorated with autumn leaves and flowers and a floral hell, by Air, and Airs and Aliss Reynolds. The charming young bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely dress of ivory crepe de chine and georgette. The veil was held in place by a silver circlet decorated with orange blossoms and tiny pink rosebuds. She earned a shower bouquet of white flowers with touches of pink. The bridesmaids were I Miss Rosalind Atkinson, cousin of "the bride, who wore primrose yellow net over old gold satin and Aliss Jessie Laurenson, sister of the bridegroom, who wore henna-coloured channelise j draped with ninon. Both bridesmaids 1 wore black picture hats and carried bouquets of autumn flowers. The best man was Air R. W. Richmond, brother ; of the bride. “The that Brenthj ed O’er Eden,” and and Afendelsohn’s I “Wedding March” were beautifully , played by Airs. Caigou us the happy ! pair entered and left the church. After the. ceremony a few friends were enter- ; tained by the bride’s parents at their home in Buccleugli street. Afany beautiful presents were on view at tho house. Tlie happy couple left on their honeymoon by motor car amidst showers of confetti and followed by the hearty good wishes of all who know him.
