NEW YORK, May 2’ The Davis Cup Committee has announced the assignment of matches, so far as possible, on the information received on September 2nd. The challenger round will be played at Westside Tennis Club, Forest Hills, Long Island and final match at Newport Tennis Club. ' The semi-final of the lower half under the Western Tennis Association at Onwetnsia Club, and the semifinal upper half at the Cleveland Associated Tennis Club. The second round between the winner of Spain v. Britain, nnd Canada v. Australia will be played at Allegheny Country Club at Pittsburg, and the Argentine-Denmark bye at Crescent athletic, Brooklyn. It is anticipated two other matches will be played in United States, but definite information is awaited from the countries concerned. The Committee decided that no selections for the American p. team will be made at present. It is stated the choice is wide and open. The selection will be based on the showing made in the competitions this summer.
