Three fires also broke out on the Wirral peninsula at Moroton anil Ridston. j Five men have been detained. Telo- , phone wires were cut bv the fire plotters. 1 A fire-engine returning from a fire at • Childwall overturned and a fireman named Edward Jones, was killed.
