. SATURDAY’S RESULTS

SENIOR GAMES

Excelsiors G beat Ross 0. Kiwi 3 beat Rimu 0. Kokatabi 3 drew with Kumara 3. : JUNIOR GAMES. Rimu 3 beat Excelsiors 0. Kiwi 8 beat Kokatahi- 3. KIWI v. RIMU. The Kiwi seniors journeyed to Rimu where, ‘after a fairly rough game the Kiwi team were returned the victors by 3 points (a try scored by Powley) to nil. The game was a fairly even one, but the football shown was of a poor nature.; There was a considerable amount ;of barracking throughout the course of the game, and isome of the remarks' flung about were hardly of a parliamentary nature. At the close of the gamp a dispute lietween the timekeepers caused some friction, and ultimately a further three minutes play was allowed by the referee, without result. After tho game was over there was a very unseemly display made against the referee (Mr A. Cutbush), and he was considerably knocked about by gome of the spectators. Had it not been for the efforts of some of the players and supporters oh both sides, tho scene would probably have extended even more than it did.

EXCELSIORS v. ROSS. On Cass Square there was a fair crowd to witness the above game. The play was of a poor nature generally, the play not being of a high order at any stage, in spite of the ground and weather conditions being perfect. Excelsiors won: by 6 points (tries scored by Davidson and Fraser) to nil. During the progress of the game two players (King and Hahn) indulged in some fisticuffs and they were promptly ordered off the field by the referee, Mr W. A. Wilson.

KOKATAHI v. KUMARA. The Kumara team journeyed to Ivokatahi, the game ending in a draw, three points each after one of the fastest and cleanest games of the competition. The ball travelled up and down tho field in rapid succession, the game being fast and open, there not being much between the two teams. The score for ‘Kokatahi wns secured' by Mark Wallace who kicked a penalty goal, while McCarthy scored a try for Kumara. Mr D. A. Dowell, was referee.

JUNIOR GAMES

The Excelsior juniors journeyed to Rimu where they suffered defeat, Rixnu winning by threea points (a try scored by Wells) to nil. Mr M. Keenan was referee.

The Kiwi and Kokathai juniors met on Cass Square previous to tile senior game, Kiwis proving the winners by 8 points to 3.
