PROTESTS AGAINST DELAY. LONDON, April 29. » . A further step in the campaign against the practice of withholding the cinematograph films from the public for sometimes many months was taken at a meeting of tho special committee of the Cinematograph Exhibitors’ Association last night which passed a resolution declaring tiiat no more films should he booked unless released before .August 315 t.,, 1922.
Other resolutions were: That filins should be released within six months of being shown to exhibitors; that there should be no more ‘‘block-booking” or hiring of blocks of poor filins in order to secure one good one; and that no new pictures should be booked for dates already fixed for other films.
