POLLARD’S riCTURES. “THE FORTUNE HUNTER” AND “THE IMP,” MONDAY. GRAND DOUBLE PROGRAMME.
On Monday next Pollards are screening something quite out of the ordinary run of pictures at the Princess Theatre, wlirti that popular actor, Enrle Williams, will he seen in one of Vitagraph’s latest and best comedy dramas entitled, “The Fortune Hunter,” from the celebrated. stage play bv Winched - Smith.
‘Til finance you and clothe you—under certain conditions, and shew you how to be worth a million in a year—it you’re not too particular.” He had been a failure in the city, and his friend made the proposition, knowing that by observing the rules he set, Nat Dunham would be unconsciously helping himself. These were the rules: —Go to a small town ; dress faultlessly but neatly; don’t swear, drink or smoke; don’t use slang; board with village gossip; go to church ; pick out and court the richest girl in town; accept her when she proposes; marry her. He gave his word and the “rules” were on for a year—but there was a flv in the ointment. The second star will be “The Imp,” featuring Elsie Janis, the Selyznick popular star. A picture marked by the censor as specially for adults.
Coming Wednesday next, “The Arizona Cat Claw,” starring Edythe Sterling.
